Hello my name is Mseli and I have been working tirelessly for many years trying to figure out a better, simpler, cheaper system to help us live more efficiently and humanely. After many years of research and development I finally came up with MAMA architecture.
MAMA architecture is a new architectural design that allows a community to collectively handle their house chores and tasks allowing them to live simpler and more comfortable lives.
MAMA architecture involves connecting houses to a food hub and clothes hub through HDPE underground pipes that have been modified to allow pods to pass through.
Once the houses have been connected to the food hub and clothes hub the community members can then start using the hubs for their food and clothes services.
When a person living in a house whose design was built or upgraded to that of MAMA architecture needs food, they order it from the food hub and it’s brought to them by a pod through modified HDPE underground pipes. Once they finish eating they return the dirty dishes to the food hub where they are cleaned and stored.
When a person living in a house whose design was built or upgraded to that of MAMA architecture needs clothes, they order the clothes from the clothes hub and it’s brought to them by a pod through modified HDPE underground pipes. Once they finish wearing them they return the dirty clothes to the clothes hub where they are cleaned and stored.
Hence people living in houses whose design was built or upgraded to that of MAMA architecture do not need to do any chore involved with food or clothes such as cooking, storing clothes, shopping for groceries etc. saving them time and they also do not need to buy any appliance needed for food and clothes such as fridge, freezer, washing machine, kitchen, closet etc. saving them money.
After understanding the basic working of MAMA architecture as a system let us now discuss how the food and clothes hub work in detail. MAMA architecture will be paid in a monthly package which allow a person to use the services of the hubs.
Let us now discuss what the package offers to people and how the hubs work to give the services to people.
FOOD HUB
The food hub is the hub that will be responsible for all tasks and chores that involve food. The food hub will be connected to the houses through modified underground HDPE pipes. Let us start by discussing the rules people have to follow for the monthly package.
People will need to pre order food at night that they will eat for the whole day tomorrow.
Pre ordering food at night that you will eat for the whole day tomorrow allows the cooks of the food hub to easily plan their cooking time table to ensure they are able to cook meals for everyone.
This rule will be easy to adopt since we already plan what we have to eat before hand and buy the groceries early or choose a restaurant early.
In case of listed emergencies such as sickness, accidents etc. the food hub will be able to cook food for you or give it to someone you want.
People will only be able to choose foods available in list
Foods that are cooked in the food hub are listed in the foods list. Most of the time the food you order should be in the list of foods available. In every place there are common foods that are eaten often by people and those are the foods that the food hub will have in their list.
When someone wants to eat a different food the price will be different but will still be less than if they cooked it themselves or they will have to order the food from somewhere else.
People will have to use food hub dishes
Using food hub dishes allows the food hub to easily plan their washing and storing tasks. When people use dishes from the food hub they can be cleaned once every day and everyone can still get the dishes whenever they are needed.
After understanding the rules that guide a person to use the food hub lets us now discuss how the food hub functions.
The food hub has 4 main functions: Storing food and its ingredients, cooking food, delivering food, retrieving dirty dishes, cleaning dishes. Let us now discuss each process in the food hub and breakdown how it will work in reality.
Storing food and ingredients
The first process is storing food and its ingredients. This will be done by people and will be done as the ingredients finish in the storage facility. So storage of food and ingredients will be a once in a while job that will be done by the workers of the food hub.
Cooking food
The 2nd process is cooking food. There will be different price points for this:
For the cheapest price point a person will say a day prior the 3 or 2 meals chosen from the list of meals offered they want cooked by the food hub so that the cooks in the food hub can easily plan their time table and cooking schedule.
For the highest price point a person will be able to say unlimited number of meals of any kind and at any time they want to eat them.
Through these different price points the food hub will be able to be used by different people with different incomes and needs.
Delivering food
This process will be done autonomously. Once the food is cooked it is put in pods which will autonomously travel to a house when someone orders the meal from the app. So delivering of food will not involve any human interaction.
Retrieving dirty dishes
This process will be done autonomously. Once the food has been eaten the person will put the dirty dishes in the pod which will autonomously return to the food hub. So retrieving of the food will not involve any human interaction.
Cleaning and storing dishes
This process will be done at a specific time. The dishes can be washed in the evening. So all the dirty dishes returned since morning will wait for the evening to be washed allowing the workers of the food hub to have an easier schedule to do their chores.
The dishes in the food hub will always be in excess of the people they are serving allowing them to last the whole day without the need to reuse the dirty dishes. Once the dishes have been washed, they will then be stored and wait for their next use.
Conclusion
To conclude, 2 of the 4 main functions of the food hub are done autonomously (retrieving dirty dishes and delivering food), 1 of the function is done at a specific time (cleaning and storing dirty dishes) and 1 is done at a specific time or any time depending on the price paid by the customer.
So the picture or vision that the food hub will be like a crazy kitchen with workers running around all day and getting little pay is actually not true. A proper vision would be of a few workers being at the food hub for cooking and at a specific time other workers using washing machines to clean the dishes and store them.
After understanding the rules for the food hub and how it functions in reality let us now discuss the clothes hub:
CLOTHES HUB
The clothes hub is the hub that will be responsible for all tasks and chores that involve clothes. The clothes hub will be connected to the houses through modified underground HDPE pipes. Let us start by discussing the rules people have to follow for the monthly package.
People will have to wait until clothes there are enough clothes so they can be washed in a full cycle
This will help the workers of the clothes hub be able to easily manage their working schedule so that they can do the cleaning of clothes as a part time job.
After understanding the one rule that guides a person to use the clothes hub lets us now discuss how the clothes hub itself functions. The clothes hub has 4 main functions: Storing clothes, delivering clothes, retrieving dirty clothes, cleaning and preparing clothes. Let us now discuss each process and breakdown how it will work in reality.
Storing clothes
The first process is storing clothes. This will be done by people and will be done once the clothes are clean and have been prepared for wearing. So storage of clothes will be an activity done at a specific time and not require the worker to always be present.
Delivering clothes
This process will be done autonomously. Once the person orders the clothes they are automatically put in a pod which autonomously travels to the house that ordered the clothes. So delivering of clothes will not involve any human interaction.
Retrieving clothes
This process will be done autonomously. Once the person orders the clothes they are automatically put in a pod which autonomously returns to the clothes hub. So retrieving of the clothes will not involve any human interaction.
Cleaning and preparing clothes
This process will be done at a specific time. The clothes can be washed in the evening. All the dirty clothes returned since morning will wait for the evening to be washed allowing the workers of the clothes hub to have an easier schedule to do their chores.
The clothes of one person won’t be washed with clothes of another person. Each person’s clothes will be washed individually either in bulk or few clothes. The more the clothes that need to be washed the less the cost since washing few clothes everyday in a washer costs more than washing in a full load once in a while.
Once the clothes have been washed, they will then be prepared (dried, Ironed etc.) and stored to wait for their next use.
Conclusion
To conclude, 2 of the 4 main functions of the clothes hub are done autonomously (retrieving and delivering food) while the other 2 are done at a specific time (cleaning, preparing and storing clothes).
So the picture or vision that the clothes hub will be like a crazy laundry with workers running around all day with clothes and getting little pay is actually not true. A proper vision would be of a few workers being at the clothes hub for cleaning, preparing and storing the clothes at a specific time during the day.
