Inner workings of the food hub
The food hub is the hub that will be responsible with handling all tasks and chores involved with food.
The food hub as 6 main functions: Storage of food ingredients, cooking of food, delivery of food, retrieval of dirty dishes, cleaning of dirty dishes, storage of dishes.
Let us now pass through each stage and look at how it functions and is automated.
Storage of food ingredients
Food ingredients will be manually added to the storage area of the food hub. The storage area will be designed to allow the cooking automations to automatically get the food ingredients to use for cooking.
Whether it’s through over head automations or through conveyor belts the food ingredients will be automatically inserted into the cooking automations for cooking.
The storage of food ingredients will be location specific meaning its design will depend on the staple foods of a particular area.
Cooking of food
Cooking of food will be fully automated. The food hub will have a list of foods it’s able to cook depending on its ingredients and the food automations it currently has.
This will usually include staple foods of a particular area hence the design of the cooking automations will be location specific meaning its design will depend on the staple foods of a particular area.
This technology already exists in most food factories and countless prototypes and one offs of machines created to produce a specific food.
This technology is also existent with rice cookers, pizza makers etc. which means to make it possible for the food hub is to add the automation of loading and unloading of the ingredients in these machines.
Delivery of food
Delivery of food will be done by pods through small tunnels. The pods could use line following technology which is the simplest autonomous technology to pass through the tunnels and deliver the food.
The food which is in a container it was put after cooking will be automatically put inside a pod once an order is made and autonomously sent to the recipient through the small tunnels.
Retrieval of dirty dishes
Retrieval of dirty dishes will be done by pods through small tunnels. The pods could use line following technology which is the simplest autonomous technology to pass through the tunnels and retrieve the dirty dishes.
Once the person wants to return the dirty dishes they simply summon the pod and then put the dirty dishes inside the pod and the pod will return the dirty dishes to the food hub.
The retrieval pod can have groves for different dishes to allow the easy automation of the removal of dirty dishes from the pods.
Cleaning of dirty dishes
Once the dishes pod arrives at the food hub the dishes are automatically removed and put into washers where they are cleaned.
These washers will be specially built to make it easy for the loading and unloading of the dirty dishes and clean dishes respectively by the automations.
Storage of clean dishes
The clean dishes are then autonomously taken to the storage area where food can easily be loaded on them by the cooking automations.
This is the last step in the food hub. I haven’t talked about the wastage system of water, water inlet, electricity, wastes etc. since this discussion was meant to show the basic processes that will go on in the food hub.
Inner workings of the clothes hub
The clothes hub is the hub that will be responsible with handling all tasks and chores involved with clothes.
The clothes hub has 5 main functions: Storage of clean clothes, delivery of clean clothes, retrieval of dirty clothes, cleaning of dirty clothes, preparing of clean clothes.
Let us now pass through each stage and look at how it functions and is automated.
Storage of clean clothes
Clean clothes will be manually added to the storage area of the clothes hub. The storage area will be designed to allow the easy loading of the clothes on the containers and pods that deliver the clean clothes.
Whether through the clothes being put on hangers or through the clothes being stored in containers the system will be designed to easily load clothes on the containers that the pods will deliver the clean clothes in.
Delivery of clean clothes
Delivery of clean clothes will be done by pods through small tunnels. The pods could use line following technology which is the simplest autonomous technology to pass through the tunnels and deliver the clean clothes.
When an order of clean clothes is made, the clean clothes will first be automatically put into the delivery container which will be on a pod and then the pod will autonomously drive itself through the small tunnels to the recipient’s residence.
Retrieval of dirty clothes
Retrieval of dirty clothes will be done by pods through small tunnels. The pods could use line following technology which is the simplest autonomous technology to pass through the tunnels and retrieve the dirty clothes.
Once the person wants to return the dirty clothes they simply summon the pod and then put the dirty clothes inside the pod and the pod will return the dirty clothes to the clothes hub.
The retrieval pod can have groves for different clothes to allow the easy automation of the removal of dirty clothes from the pods.
Cleaning of dirty clothes
Once the dirty clothes pod arrives at the clothes hub the dirty clothes are automatically removed and put into washers where they are cleaned.
These washers will be specially built to make it easy for the loading and unloading of the dirty clothes and clean clothes respectively by the automations.
The washers will wash clothes differently depending on the type. This will be helped by the fact that all clothes that will be in the clothes hub will be wash friendly for the washers in the clothes hub.
Preparation of clean clothes
Once the dirty clothes are cleaned they are then autonomously prepared by putting them on hangers and\or ironing them before they are sent to the storage area to wait for their next use.
This is the last step in the clothes hub. I haven’t talked about the wastage system of water, water inlet, electricity, wastes etc. since this discussion was meant to show the basic processes that will go on in the clothes hub.
