People will also be asking themselves how MAMA architecture differs from current technology such as delivery services which have gotten better, communal kitchens, laundry services etc.
These are questions asked whenever a new technology is introduced such as when people asked how the internet differed from texts or calls using cellular services, TV, radio etc. when it was first introduced, when people asked how the car was better than the horse when cars were first introduced etc.
In this section we are going to look at the different services currently being provided that have similarities with the food and clothes hub and how they differ from it. Let us first discuss services with a similarity to the food hub.
Food hub
Food delivery services
Food delivery services are a courier service in which a restaurant, store, or independent food-delivery company delivers food to a customer. An order is typically made either through a restaurant or grocer’s website or mobile app, or through a food ordering company.
The delivered items can include entrees, sides, drinks, desserts, or grocery items and are typically delivered in boxes or bags.
Delivery person will normally drive a car, but in bigger cities where homes and restaurants are closer together, they may use bikes or motorized scooters. Recently, autonomous vehicles have also been used to complete deliveries.
After understanding what delivery services are and how they work let us now look at the differences between delivery services and the food hub:
Delivery services are temporary services while the food hub is a permanent service
The first difference is that unlike delivery services, the food hub is there to provide permanent services to the houses hence will deliver food at any time and in any weather.
The fact that the food hub is a permanent service makes it reliable to the point that the house can survive without a kitchen and still be 100% sure that they will have their food delivered at any time or day.
The food hub deals with the cleaning and storage of utensils and appliances
The second difference is that unlike delivery services the food hub deals with utensils and their storage allowing you to fully be free of chores involved with food.
Unlike delivery services the food hub can help you clean utensils when you cook and store them away for when you need them again allowing you to have more space in your home and less chores even after big meals.
Or when you get food delivery you still have to deal with left over’s, the utensils you use to eat the food etc. With the food hub you can simply send the dirty dishes for washing, left over’s for storing etc.
The food hub deals with waste disposal
The third difference is that the food hub deals with waste disposal. Once you finish eating the food you can send the remains to the food hub for disposal.
There is also no use of single use plastic or boxes since the utensils the food hub sends the food in can always be recovered and reused.
Cafeterias
Cafeteria or Canteen is a type of food service location in which there is little or no waiting stuff table service, whether a restaurant, communal kitchen or within an institution such as a large office building or school.
Instead of table service, there are food serving counters, either in a line or allowing arbitrary walking paths. Customers take the food that they desire as they walk alone, placing it on a tray.
The following are differences between the cafeteria model and the food hub:
Using robots is less expensive compared to human employees.
The biggest difference between such services and the food hub is the use of robots. Utilizing robots is simply less expensive than human employees.
Once the initial cost of the robot is paid, the only costs are maintenance and the energy required during operation. Overtime the cost savings is significant when compared to employee salaries and benefits.
Additionally, robots optimize process and improve quality resulting in less waste providing even further cost savings.
Robots ensure that the food hub doesn’t require human workers increasing safety
Improved safety is another advantage of the food hub as there is no longer need for any employee to perform hazardous tasks such as working with dangerous chemicals (Washing dishes), picking up heavy objects, working in poor conditions such as elevated temperatures, and performing tasks with repetitive motion.
People are safer when these types of tasks are performed by robots and other automations.
Robots are more flexible and allow for individuality than employees.
The food hub provides flexibility to adjust the time people eat the food and where they eat the food.
Through the food hub people can decide what time they are going to eat the food, what place they are going to eat the food etc.
This is not possible with cafeterias as people have to physically be at the cafeteria to order the food and eat the meals.
Clothes hub
Delivery laundry services
Delivery laundry services allow people to have their laundry taken for cleaning by a worker and returned to them after cleaning.
These services are popular since most home washers or driers cannot accommodate large beddings such as duvets etc.
The following are differences between laundry services and the clothes hub:
The clothes hub provides a permanent service while the laundry services don’t
The first difference is that unlike laundry services the clothes hub is there to provide a permanent service to the houses hence can clean and deliver clothes at any time and in any weather.
The fact that the clothes hub is a permanent service makes it reliable to the point that the house can survive without a closet, washing machine, drier etc. and still be 100% sure that they will have their clothes delivered at any time or day.
The clothes hub deals with the storage of clothes while the laundry services don’t
The second difference is that unlike laundry services the clothes hub deals with storage of clothes allowing you to fully be free of chores involved with clothes.
So through the clothes hub you can store your clothes and have no need for a closet to store your clothes and accessories.
The clothes hub is able to lease clothes and accessories whenever you need them
The third difference is that unlike laundry services, the clothes hub is able to lease clothes and accessories whenever you need them for a special occasion or simple occasion.
Through the clothes hub, you can lease clothes for one time use easily through ordering them from the clothes hub while it would take many processes to do the same with the current services.
Conclusion
So there is currently no service that provides all the services that the food or clothes hub provides but there are services that provide some services the food and clothes hub provides.
After understanding the difference between the current services provided and the hubs let us now discuss the advantages of MAMA architecture:
