MAMA architecture is a brilliant innovation and will certainly change the world. But like any new technology, it will disrupt the current paradigm hence is destined to have disadvantages.
In this section we are going to discuss the disadvantages of MAMA architecture and how the disadvantages can be overcome:
Cost of building the technology
The first disadvantage of MAMA architecture is the cost to produce the technologies. Although the technologies already exist, there will still need to be an initial investment to build the hubs, pod system and house cleaning system.
The advantage of the technologies of MAMA architecture is that once built they can be used anywhere in the world.
Cost of upgrading houses
The second disadvantage is that MAMA architecture will cost a lot in terms of upgrading houses. This is because people will first have to agree on upgrading to MAMA architecture and fund the upgrade themselves which will cost a lot.
This upgrade cost is not unique to MAMA architecture but it’s one of the biggest reasons most automations don’t reach the mainstream market. This can be seen in how most restaurants don’t adopt food automations or how many farms don’t adopt farming automations etc.
I will be speaking of how this problem can be countered to ensure that MAMA architecture is able to be adopted everywhere in my next book.
Employment
The third biggest disadvantage is that like every other automation technology, MAMA architecture will cause a lot of unemployment.
Through the food hub, MAMA architecture will cause many restaurants, grocery shops, appliances shops, utensils shops and all other businesses somehow involved with food to close or have a reduction in demand.
Through the clothes hub MAMA architecture will cause many clothes shops, laundry services, detergent sellers and all other businesses somehow involved with clothes to close or have a reduction in demand.
This unemployment problem is not unique to MAMA architecture but it’s one of the biggest problems facing any new automation technology.
I will be speaking of how this problem can be countered to ensure that MAMA architecture is able to be adopted everywhere in my next book.
