These houses are common in developing countries, particularly in rural areas where people lack access to modern construction materials and techniques.
These houses are often made from locally sourced materials such as mud, thatch, and bamboo, which are readily available and affordable.
However, primitive houses are often inadequate in terms of providing safe and healthy living conditions.
They are vulnerable to natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, and lack essential amenities such as running water, sanitation, and electricity.
A simple solution to helping the over 1 billion people worldwide live in better homes is MAMA apartments that a new housing configuration that structurally makes houses cheaper.
MAMA apartments consist of houses connected by an elevator system to a food and clothes hub that handle all chores involved with food and clothes respectively.
When residents want food, they order it from the food hub and it’s brought to them by pods that pass through the elevator system.
When they finish eating, they return the dirty dishes using the pods to the food hub were they are cleaned and stored.
When residents want to cook, they can order for a mini cooker, utensils and ingredients etc. and when they finish cooking they return the dirty utensils, cooker etc. to the food hub were they are cleaned and stored.
When residents want clothes, they order them from the clothes hub and they are brought to them by pods that pass through the elevator system.
When they finish wearing the clothes, they return the dirty clothes to the clothes hub were they are cleaned and stored.
When residents want to wash their own clothes, they order a mini washer, detergent etc. from the clothes hub and it’s brought to them by pods that pass through small tunnels. Once they finish washing the clothes they return the mini washer to the clothes hub were its cleaned and stored.
The houses don’t need a kitchen, closet, appliances etc. making them simple enough to be cleaned by autonomous robots.
Hence MAMA apartments will be structurally cheaper since they won’t require a kitchen, closet, appliances etc. and still provide all the modern luxuries through the hubs.
These houses will also be monetarily cheaper as the hubs will buy and do many chores in bulk allowing them to save on costs while also saving time for the residents as they won’t have to do any house chores.
Therefore MAMA apartments can be used as a solution to the primitive housing crisis currently afflicting many countries all over the world.
